The story behind "Ali Mike" actually dates back to a white water rafting trip back in high school. My dad didn't want to get sunburned, so he put a towel under his hat to cover his neck. He thus earned the nickname "Ali Brett" for the trip. To be honest, it was a pretty effective idea. Especially since I hate sunscreen.
